Bus 0 Enclosure 0 faulted
Hi Everyone,
I have VNX5200 with the following error messages:
- Bus 0 Enclosure 0 Power A Not Supported
- Bus 0 Enclosure 0 Power B Not Supported
The problem occur after a have upgraded the Flare OE to 05.33.009.5.115 from 05.33.000.5.079
We are not sure what does it mean? whether Power supplies are fault or BBU are fault
We also noticed Write cache has been disabled, tried to enable it but refused with the error message "There is no Standby Power Supply Present" "One or more LUNs offline"
Kindly anyone who has come across this scenario please help

Hi Everyone,
Zaphod @Rainer_EMC
Thanks all for the suggestions.
I have contacted EMC Support and according to the KB470480 they are the ones that will fix this after provide them with remote anywhere to your system. Kindly see below
VNX2 arrays running Direct Current (DC) power who upgraded Block OE R33.102 or later will experience both Power Supplies as faulted and write cache will be disabled.
VNX2 Series
VNX2 Series, VNX5200, VNX5400, VNX5600
Systems using Direct Current [DC] Power Supplies [originating from R33.072], will experience a faulted system after upgrading to the subsequent release [R33.102 or later] with both Power Supplies reported as faulted [Unsupported] causing Write Cache to go in disabled state
IMPORTANT: This KBA refers to DC POWER ONLY ARRAYS, including:
VNX5200DC
VNX5400DC
VNX5600DC
Power Supply Part Number:
This is NOT applicable to NON DC POWER ARRAYS
Identification of the issue.
After performing an Block OE Non-Disruptive Upgrade (NDU), the system will report as faulted. The user will notice the following:
Both DPE Power Supplies will be Faulted in the GUI
These Power Supplies will report as Not Supported in NAVISECCLI
Write cache will be disabled since BOTH DPE power supplies report faulted.
One condition to have write cache enabled is to have a non-faulted power supply in the DPE.
The array will appear faulted with DC Power Supplies being marked as Unsupported
You will see these type of events in the SP Event logs:

I would suggest to open a service request
these kind of problems usually need more info than a forum post

I have not seen this, and I concur that a service call would be a good idea...but I wonder if there is a power supply firmware update in the new flare. You can check that in USM.
