DART on VNX
When you set up NAS part of VNX do you still use the vault disks to install DART or do you create totally different RAIDs to install DART and NAS related volumes...
What is the size of volumes that are used by NAS.
What's the differences between DART and FLARE on VNX? do they store in the same location or different location?
Where exactly can I find out on which set of disks? and what space is it taking up?
Thanks

On VNX the space is always reserved and the OE already installed
Space used - just look at a live system or use one of the capacity calculators
Details should also be in the knowledgebase

The EMC VNX series provides enterprise capabilities for file and block (FC, iSCSI, CIFS, NFS, FCoE) functionality except VNX5100 which supports only block configuration . Both the VNX and VNXe provides a one management interface for managing both File and Block based solutions. The reason why we have two OS's is that it allows us to utilize purpose built components (HW and SW) to take advantage of the native functionality and to scale independently.
My understanding -
1. Block based solutions are handled by FLARE.
2. File based solutions are handbled by DART.
3. Datamover is a like a host. File systems are accessed via Data Movers
