Does the VNXe support File Level Retention (Compliance)?
Good morning all!
We're looking at a wide implementation of VNXe. Lately I've had several of my local government departments that use the VNXe series (3100) requesting a compliance ability. Consulting some of the EMC sales literature and reading the VNX series FLR documentation, it seems to indicate VNXe will support File Level Retention. I have found references to FLR-E (Enterprise) but not specifically FLR-C (Compliance).
Basically a simple question: Does VNXe support both Enterprise and Compliance or just Enterprise?

Hi,
the VNXe currently only supports FLR-E (Enterprise) and not FLR-C (Compliance)
The differences aren’t big though – mainly whether a sysadmin can delete a complete file system that still has protected files in them and how infinite retention is handled.
