Replicate an iSCSI LUN mounted on a linux box

I have an VNXe 3100 iSCSI LUN mounted on e RHEL 5.8, on which i have a VG and several logical volumes.

I am trying to replicate this iSCSI LUN over to another VNXe using RM. On the production host I installed RMAgent 5.4.1 and SE 7.3.22, and setup the host on the RM Console. I also created the Application Set, but when I try to create a Job, i get "The application does not reside on supported storage. Unable to create a job for it".

Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answer.

I patched RM (the server and clients) as soon as i got this error, following simliar posts, but the error is still there.

There should be a patch for this (RM 5.4.1) see other posts on the subject and open a Service Request to get the patch

I was not talking about update 5.4.1 but about a patch that needs to be applied to that update so that one can create new jobs

The patch is not on Powerlink and you need to open a Service Request to have it

You can access VNXe 'Live Chat' Technical Support 24x7 very easily, direct from Unisphere via the Support->Need More Help screen or through the following link:

According to EMC Support (and a support matrix), generic iSCSI storage replication on VNXe through RM (the only way to replicate iSCSI on VNXe) is not supported on Linux ... which I think is embarrassing ...

If anyone knows if there is a hidden hack to be done I'm all ears.
