VNX - Luns size for Oracle ASM

Hi,

I have a customer that is looking for the "EMC" recommanded size for Oracle - ASM using a VNX.  Does an information like that exist or should the customer follow the direction from Oracle ?

I've search the community without finding a lot of information, another person seemed to have a similar need, but there was no answer.  Maybe now someone may have an answer.

Thank you,

Christian

it's totally up to you/your DBA preference. We have one 22TB database where we provision 100G LUNs and then we have other DBs where we provision in 34G LUN increments. Just think about the limit of how many LUNs per storage group are supported in your model of VNX, think about queuing ( you don't want to have one 16TB LUN for the entire database and you also don't want 1600 x 10G LUNs).
