VNX and Datawarehouse

VNX Series has been designed for performance by levering both the power of latest platform technology and software innovations in form of core operating environment.

As a result the platform is capable in delivering industry leading performance for both transactional focussed applications (measured in terms of IOPS) as well as bandwidth focussed applications such as Data Warehouse, rich media, etc. (measured in terms of IOPS).

VNX Series is capable of delivering of serving the needs of varied applications.

One of the areas of focus for us in Unified Storage division is to leverage the high bandwidth capability for applications such a Data Warehouse and associated analytics. A growing area that is becoming an important part of business process as companies are realizing the value of data mining and data analytics.

EMC recently in collaboration with Cisco qualified a Datawarehouse solution based on Microsoft's Fast Track 3.0 Reference architecture with VNX Storage System.

EMC has also qualified Oracle DW solution with VNX Series where the number of concurrent user streams was doubled compared to previous CX4 based solution.

If you are thinking of deploying Data Warehouse application and would like to leverage your existing software assets (Microsoft/Oracle) and VNX Storage consider EMC VNX Series as an option and gain from the work we have already done in bring these datawarehouse applications online in fast and cost effective manner.

The key here is versatility of VNX Series that allows you to deploy it in many different application environments.

We would love to hear your feedback and inputs.
