VNXe replication to VNX

I am thinking about ROBO for my customer, can the VNXe in ROBO replicate to a VNX in the datacenter?

Since the VNXe currently is an IP ONLY solutions the replication between the two products is fairly limited. First and foremost, today the VNXe does not possess the FC or FCoE protocols so to that regard, no FC or FCoE replication can possibly occur between the two products. The iSCSI protocol does exist on both products but the protocol stack comes from two very distinctly different locations and thus cannot replicate between the two. iSCSI on the VNXe essentially is DART iSCSI and iSCSI on the VNX is FLARE based in origin. Essentially XBLADE iSCSI and SP iSCSI for the VNXe and VNX respectively. Therefore iSCSI replication between the two products is not supported. There was historically, the ability to RPQ iSCSI replication from VNXe to VNX DART iSCSI but product management has ceased to approve such requests. The only protocols that can be replicated between the VNXe and the VNX are the NAS protocols.
