scripting language for storage personnel
Hello ,
I am currently working as a SAN Administrator. There are need for automation in my work and hence am planning to learn a scripting language. I mostly work on VNX file /block ,Isilon , vmax and VPlex .
Kindly let me know which language is going to help me ? Also, I would really appreciate if some senior storage guys could share some links . The reason I ask is , if I google there are tons and tons site, it is little easier to follow with some guidance .Moreover, I have no prior scripting knowledge so I need to take baby steps

so many, depends on your environment, i would say powershell, python.

For a simple solution, Python would be the most flexible I imagine.

Another option would be REST API, if all the products supports its standards.

I agree with Powershell & Python, possibly Bash shell or Perl depending on your environment
