Is there any way to customize messages that get generated through service alarms?

The current version enables administrators to associate an email (list) with a Service, but does not expose a mechanism to customize the generated messages. This feature will be added in a future release.

This requirement has been implemented by scripting and customization in the past, and those mechanisms still work.
