16 bit MS-DOS subsystem error

Question

I'm receiving a 16 bit MS-DOS sybsystem error on my computer that pop-up with a blank DOS system window.  The contents of the error message are: C:\Windows\system32\dllHost.exe The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:121a IP0101 OP:63 6d 48 01 00 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. Please analyze the log file and let me know how I canfix this. Thanks for the response but the links you provided did not fix it.  Does Vista have a re-install that fixes any files that could have been corrupted?  This is a weird error. I have no idea what program would need to be run in 16 bit mode.  It seems that Vista still uses old DOS files in order to handle these type of situations.  Does the hijackthis file not give you a clue to the problem?
