ALERT message From SpyBOT
I recently downloaded the newest updates from SpyBOt and now I get this
message after I scan my computer. I have never seen this before and
I don't know if I should clean this or not. Is my Registry infected?
What should I do? The Alert is in Red, but the text is Black. I have
A Dimension 4500, Windows XP. I do not have Service Pack2.
Error during check!: Winpup32 (Ungültiger Datentyp für '') ()

The item you are referring to is a pop up
generating adware called "Winpup".
It is definitely safe to remove this item.
If you are unsure about Spybot S&D
there is a tutorial built in. Simply click
on "Hepl" => "Tutorial". Or, follow this
link to theSpybot S&D Tutorial, for a
very good illustrated tutorial.
Good luck and safe computing,:smileyhappy:

UPDATE to earlier post:
Something was just brought to my attention regarding your earlier post.
According to that post, your most recent update was listed as 2004-05-12.
I just checked my copy of Spybot S&D and it llists the most recent update as
2005-02-16. If you don't have Spybot S&D set to update when it starts, please
download most recent updates by launching Spybot S&D then, in the main window
Check for Updates button.
If you have any problems with this, please post back and we'll see what steps
we can do to get you updated.
Sorry I missed that the first time.:smileyhappy:
