Welcome to Dell Community.

The missing files are a bug in how HijackThis enumerates the drivers and services on 64-bit machines. Running HijackThis on a 64-bit machine shows log entries which indicate (file missing) in those 023 entries when that is NOT the case. You need to verify that the file is actually missing.

Have you tried contacting Microsoft regarding the update problems? To contact Microsoft Product Support, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to All Programs. Click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

2. Click Get help and support, and then follow the instructions on the Web site.

If they think it is a malware problem, please come back to Dell Community and post your log on the Malware Removal Forum.
