Computer is deleting files
There is a certain .exe file that I am trying to download. I had it downloaded and I used for a couple days when I noticed it was deleted. Whenever i re-download it and extract it from the .rar to my desktop, it automatically deletes it. When I tried downloaded it without the .rar is said failed to download. I'm assuming that my computer thinks that is a virus, but I trust it and will take the risk. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?
Running a Dell XPS 8500 with Windows 8. I have McAfee protection.

Hi megatar, and welcome to the forum.
You might want to register and post your question in the McAfee forum, as few regulars here use McAfee:

Just out of interest, what is the name of the executable file that is being deleted?

A quick search on " A3LifeLauncher.exe " takes me to a torrent download website.
I'm not a gamer, but know enough to avoid torrents as a security risk. It does not surprise me that this executable is being flagged by McAfee.

That is correct. McAfee and other software tend to do this when Antivirus' believe an exe file or other file names contain a Virus whether it be false positive or not. Which in your case it is since you know exactly what the file is. If you want to remove the file from the software and restore it, here's what you need to do:
Open your McAfee Security product.
Click Navigation.
Click Quarantined and Trusted Items.
Open Quarantined Items or Quarantined Potentially Unwanted Programs (for programs).
Select specific items individually, or click Select all.
Select the action you want to perform (Delete, Restore, or Send to McAfee).

I think you .rar has vIrus, so when you extract them, your virus software will automatically delete them. You can use this extension to solve your problem:

Hi,
Your installed antivirus is recognizing that .exe file cotains some harmful files. So, that's why the antivirus deleted your files automatically. If you want really need that .exe and trust nothing harmful in that, disable your antivirus and then try download to install. I think this will help you.
Still If you facing any issue, reply me.
