HELP!!!

Question

Here's my logfile...I keep getting WinFixer pop-ups and then the Norton Virus Alert started.  The removal tool did not find anything on my computer.  Thanks for the help! symantec has re-issued the FixVundo tool... now version 1. 4.0 ... if you used 1.3.1 or earlier, you should try the update.   see here :   http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=si_hijack&message.id=17240

Looks like the FixVundo successfully removed the bad WinFixer/Vundo file.... have you noticed any difference (in terms of the WinFixer popups and/or Norton alert)?

Your log still shows a (non-critical) "remnant" of it, which we can easily remove now:

Run HiJackThis. Place a check-mark in the box in front of the line:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: pmnno - C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnno.dll (file missing)

Click on FIX CHECKED. Close HiJackThis. Reboot. And then generate/post another log.

At that point, I'm gonna ask someone else to step-in, to determine additional problems (if any) that you might have. Be advised, however, that we're up against an extremely large backlog of requests for help, so it may take up to a week for someone else to get here.

Log looks OK otherwise. I'm not real fond of PartyPoker since it is often installed by malware but it appears to be a harmless program.

If you don't use it you can check these two and then Fix Checked.

Make sure you have System Restore running (toggle it off and On today to get rid of any bad stuff it may have retained)
and then you can just go back to an earlier time if you hit a bad site.

One way to make this more obvious is to check everything in your current HijackThis and Add to Ignore List then set up Hijackthis to run at boot and to show you if it finds anything new.
