How to uninstall Mcafee on a computer running Vista

When I placed the order for my XPS notebook I spoke with a Dell representative and told him I didn't want McAfee.
No luck. It came anyway and now I'm stuck with it and I cannot install Karspersky, my security choice since a couple of years ago. I searched for this problem in Google and a lot of people are complaining about the uninstallation problems and the remmants Mcafee left in their computers  but I didn't get any clear instruction how to do a clean uninstallation.
To make things worse this is my first computer running Windows Vista -no Add/Remove Programs, no uninstallation option in Mcafee Security Center -and really I need some help to get rid of this software.

In Vista, Start>Control Panel. If you're viewing Control Panel Home, under Programs, click on Uninstall a program. If Control Panel is in Classic View, double click on Programs and Features. You can uninstall McAfee from there.

To make sure that all traces of McAfee are gone, download and save the McAfee Removal Tool . Close any McAfee windows that you may have open, and then right click on the MCPR.exe file and select Run as Administrator. You will have to restart the computer after the removal tool runs. Then, from Windows Explorer, expand the Program Files folder and if there are any McAfee folders remaining, delete them.

Good Luck!

It worked perfectly well.
Thanks a lot for the help.

Just in case someone else read this thread with the same problem I had, I would only add two things:
a) In case you are not sure to dump definitely McAfee -as I was- , before to uninstall it be sure to register. Otherwise you'll lost your 30 day subscription paid when you bought your Dell machine.
b) I didn't find the option to show hidden files in Windows Explorer in the Control Panel. I found it under Windows Explorer - Organize - Folder and Search Options - View Tab
