Log File For Reviewing
Problems:
I have a Dell Inpiron 2650 with Windows XP, and for almost a month now I have noticed that my explorer and internet explorer has been crashing frequently while using it. The folder I use the most on my computer is my music folder which has about 1,000 songs in it separated into about 20 folders, but I have 512 MB of Ram so freezing is not the issue. I would choose a song to listen to with Windows Media Player and every so often the explorer would go down, and I would get the unexpected error message and the choice to choose send error or close. This also happens when trying to stream a Windows Media Player Video on websites and since I noticed Windows Media Player was in both I rolled back my WMP software back one to the next software WMP 9 Series and the streaming still does not work. Any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix it would be appreciated.

I have a feeling that you are running a selective start up. In order to fully see what is happening, I need you to enable all programs to load at start up. We will change them back when we are done.
If this isn't the case, there have been many issues reguarding WMP. People are having a problem with it. I haven't explored this issue so I really don't have the exact 411 on this, it mostly concerned the fact that WMP was installing Adware with the program so I don't think this would concern you
If you are not running a selective start up, and this is your full OS I don't see any Malware running so I don't think that this would be the cause of your problem.
Get back to me and let me know and we will take it from there.

Do you recognize it?
Can you find the file in your computer if you don't and right click on it. Choose properties and let me know if it has a name for the program, date it was created and anything else that's written.
Here is what to do with the log as it stands without the dmx.exe file included in the fix.
Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.
We'll need to unload Spybot's Teatimer before we begin. To do this, right-click on the icon in the quick launch toolbar at the bottom on the screen, then select " Exit".
Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:
Viewpoint Manager
Web Offer
WildTangent
The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WildTangent CDA] RUNDLL32.exe "C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll",cdaEngineMain
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [Web Offer] Command /c del C:\WINDOWS\system32\ezPopStub.exe
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:
folders...
C:\Program Files\WildTangent
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking
files...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ezPopStub.exe
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're ' in use', try deleting them from " Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

If you can tell me what program is associated with zmx.exe that would help.
I am leary of this zmx.exe file and the program(s) associated with it so that info I do need.
As far as the WMP error, the only things that come to mind is to see if that file will play on another application such as Winamp or Real Player if you can.
A bad file does come to the front of my mind concerning the problem as you have explained it.

Let's continue on with the fix...
-
Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.
We'll need to unload Spybot's Teatimer before we begin. To do this, right-click on the icon in the quick launch toolbar at the bottom on the screen, then select " Exit".
Run HiJackThis then:
1. Click " Config..."
2. Click " Misc Tools"
3. Click " Open Process manager"
-
Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate ( if present) and click on ( highlight) each of the following:
C:\windows\system32\zmx.exe
Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click " Kill process". Now, click " Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [zmx] C:\windows\system32\zmx.exe
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:
files...
C:\windows\system32\zmx.exe
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're ' in use', try deleting them from " Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.
