McAfee - Saying your computer is not protected

I purchased McAfee when I bought my Dell computer.  It came already installed, but I also have the disc.  I keep getting a message that says "your computer is not protected" - when I go into the McAfee center to update - I get this pop up that says - Register Your Software Now - but when I click on it nothing happens.  Is my computer protected and McAfee just not registered?  Or am I in danger?

I had that same problem. Many people on this forum, including myself believe that McAfee is a terrible anti-virus. Causes many problems and doesn't do a good job protecting. Someone on this forum suggested using a free anti-virus called AVG. It has worked wonders for me ever since. Personally, McAfee isn't worth your time. If you'd like to try AVG, follow this link.
Make sure to uninstall McAfee first.
