Pay the part of your phone bill that does not include the international charges, and let the phone company know that is what you are doing. They are only acting as an agent for the third party billing and they do not have a lot of power to help remove those charges - you will have to persue that by other means. Perhaps someone here would have some advice on that.

Then - unless you do international calling yourself, you can have the telco put an international block on your line. That will prevent the problem in the future.

As for your HJT log... It needs quite a bit of work, but I don't see any dialers in it.

John, You have started three different threads.  Please stay in one, this one will do.  I will link Derf to the thread where I helped you remove the dialer.  Use the REPLY button to stay in this thread...Thanks.

Derf, When I saw the A:B infection I tried to do him a favor and showed him how to remove the dialer and a couple of more hostiles.  I then tried to get him to grinler, I guess that's when you got involved.
I have gotten into a mess or two trying to work A:B from Dell with help at BC, so I have stopped trying to do it.  I will sure be glad when they put us through the A:B training.  Here is the link to the log I removed the dialer from:
He also has another thread but there is nothing on it, and I linked it to the one above.  Thanks...Phil

Yep, that was a dialer.

(please excuse the off topic comments that follow:)

Doing HJT logs on this board is a bit awkward, and I've mostly stayed away from trying (partly because all my 'canned' uses BBcodes and I haven't taken the time to convert it all to html for here). This one most likely has a rogue service running, and limitation of the DCF board doesn't even allow a full getservices log to be posted in one pass.

ChrisRLG and Texruss sure did a yeoman's job here when they were active. Midnight Star is doing quite well now, considering, as are you and a few others.

A while back, there was talk of creating a separate board on DCF for HJT logs. Looks like that got dropped.

Take care Phil.
