System Alert: Trojan-Spy.Win32@mx
System Alert: Trojan-Spy.Win32@mx
Hi, I have been looking over this forum and noticed a few people with same problem as I have. I need help please! I keep getting these system alerts from a program that is pretending to be an official windows warning, telling me i have a trojan and should pay for this anti-virus. It says...Your computer is infected with a backdoor trojan that allows the remote attacker to perform various malicious actions. Click this balloon to download malware removal software. And if I click on it, it directs me to a website where I have to purchase the software, its really a pest.

Will a system restore do anygood?
Or do I have to do lots of downloads and post logs which I don't know much about?
Thanks in advance!

Click HERE to download a self-extractable version of HijackThis.
- Double click on hijackthis.exe to extract hijackthis to folder c:\hijackthis.
- It will extract it to that folder and open the folder for you.
- It will also create a shortcut on your desktop to HijackThis.
- It will scan and the log should open in notepad.Click on "Edit > Select
- All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the
- log.
Do not have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.thanks,
