for avast users:
please keep in mind that avast has separate settings for obtaining PROGRAM updates, and DATABASE updates.
if your avast is set to automatically find PROGRAM updates, this may (still) take up to a week, as avast gradually "pushes" out the update (so as not to overload its servers).
if your avast is NOT set to automatically find PROGRAM updates, or if you would like to download it immediately, you can RIGHT-click on the Avast a-ball in your system tray, select UPDATING, and then PROGRAM UPDATE.
a reboot is required.
