Virus?

picked up something i believe, it wouldnt let me open adaware or spybot, nor hijack this, mcafee found nothing, did a sys. restore to a month ago and everything seems to be working now.  Except, that im getting a constant windows update download, that seems to never stop.  Itll download, then complete, then a few seconds later, do it again.

I don't see any malware in your log.
You have a couple of options:
1. Just to check to see if your pop-up is not coming from malware, did you try temporarily disabling "Automatic Updates" in the Security Center to see if that stops the update pop-up? In addition to turning off auto updates, make sure you go to the list on the left and select "Change the way Security Center alerts me". You will see your options there.

If that does not stop the problem, we can investigate further for malware. If that stops the pop-ups, enable it again and see if you still have a problem.

2. Go here to the "Reset, Repair..." section and run the batch file. Make a Restore Point first just in case something goes wrong.

The only thing I see that still needs to be fixed is your Java.
Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. It is possible that you may be running Java code in your applications that absolutely require a specific version of the JRE to run. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1 allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.

  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u1-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Reboot.

can we look deeper?, adaware and spybot are working now, but im unable to manully disable my linksys wireless connector.  Windows update stopped, but it just seems odd to me.  Thanks again for all your help.

I still do not see any problem in your log except that your Java is outdated.

Try doing an online scan here and see if it comes up with anything: F-Secure Online Scanner
The online scanner is on the bottom right of the page.
Follow the directions in the F-Secure page for proper Installation.
* You may receive an alert on the address bar at this point to install the ActiveX control.
* Click on that alert and then click " Insall ActiveX component".
* Read the license agreement and click " Accept".
* Click " Full System Scan" to download the scanning components and begin scan and cleaning.
* When the scan completes, click the " I want to decide item by item" button.
* For each item found, Select " Disinfect" and click " Next".
* When done, click the " Show Report" button, then copy and paste the entire report into your next reply.

As far as the Linksys wireless connector problem, that question may be better answered here:
