after enabling third-party extensions, links would not open in new windows

Hi,

after installing any toolbar, which requires enabling third-party extensions, my
computer becomes really slow and links would not open in new window windows.

Any idea what is causing it?

i run many spyware programs (i.e. Spy sweeper, Spybot, Norton), but they don't detect
anything...

thanks

Hi:

When you enable third party extensions, you are probably enabling more than just the toolbar you just installed. To view the list of all enabled extensions, in IE click on Tools> Manage Add-ons, and select Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer in the drop-down box.

To see which one is responsible for your problem, you will have to selectively disable each, one by one, and restart IE. (Click on the add-on under the Enabled list to toggle it on or off).
