need help

Question

i need some major help, i have a dimension 4550, i restarted it and it will not reboot, the black screen with dell icon comes up and the goes to the blue screen with the xp icon on it and does not boot.  About a week before i was working on some project and all the sudden a blue screen came up and said memory dump and i had to restart my computer.  I think this my be caused my a virus but not sure, i have over 30gigs of programs and files that are important to keep, what should i do, i there a was to recover it. Oh ya i tryed to restart in safemode and samething happens. thanks, jon   ps. there way a win32virus that would not delete

Do any 2 Online scans TrendMicro Panda RAV Kaspersky McAfee Bit Defender Symantec

eTrust AV web scanner http://virusscan.jotti.dhs.org/ and let us know what they find. use the clean options when you do the scan.

try and write down and post the exact error on the blue screen which would help us troubleshoot better.

Well i only see 4 little led lights, above the usb ports, and they are all green:smileyindifferent:
