I recently downloaded a software using softonic. Now it seem to have taken over my computer. I tried to uninstall it but can't find the name under programs. How do I get rid of it forever. I used tools>options>home page,and then delete the url. Then click default, reboot the computer but it come back or never left. I use firefox because it affects it the most. HELP !

"downloaded a software" --- WHAT software did you download?
"it seem to have taken over my computer" --- Can you elaborate as to what it's doing? Are you getting popups? Do you see it running "strange" programs? What are the exact symptoms you're experiencing?
You need to give us more information if you expect anyone to try to help you.

Just to add to ky331's questions, please let us know your operating system and what type of security software you are using (anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.)
