Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\\HJT\\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents AT THE LINK BELOW
Thanks, I posted my logfile on the other forum.
Could this be part of my old Panda Antivirus Restore file that remained on my computer after I uninstalled the main Panda program. I was unable to get Panda to update itself so I decided to use Avast instead. It was in the switching between antivirus programs that the problem got created. The Avast web site forum has some discussion about this being not a real virus but something left over in the Restore folder as a remnant of the Panda program.
It's a possibility, but better to be sure. Untill you log is addressed in the Hijackthis forum, you may want to run a virus scan (using Avast) in Safe Mode. This will help access system restore files, and see what you come up with

It's a Trojan downloader
Lets do this
Go Here And download HijackThis
Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\\HJT\\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents AT THE LINK BELOW
LINK
and include a description of the problem along with your log
Please do not be tempted to "fix" on your own. Hijackthis is a very powerful tool, if used incorrectly can cause system problems
