Vostro 3470, upgrading WiFi
Hi I'm looking to upgrade the wifi receiver on my new desktop as I don't think what it's shipped with is very good - "802.11bgn + Bluetooth 4.0, 1x1" My old laptop which packed up had "802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2x2) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo (Miracast compatible)" and speed tests in the same room were considerably better. I think the Dell is giving 17Mbps and from memory the laptop was 65-90Mbps. What options do I have for replacing (or adding) an upgraded wireless adapter? I've actually used the PCIe x16 slot for a "USB 3.1 Gen 2" card so that isn't an option... Thanks in advance Ross

Dell Rockstars,
I have the same issue, I need to upgrade my wifi card on my Dell Vostro 3470 to a 5gz capable one. Which model does Dell recommend for this upgrade?

@Alex O. there are 3 available wireless card options for the Vostro 3470, 2 Intel cards and a Dell Wireless card.
Without having your tag, I suspect your have the Dell Wireless card installed as both Intel cards support 5GHz.
Here are the model numbers, part numbers and tech specs for them
