Dell Vostro Notebook 3500 slow performance

I had purchased Dell Vostro Notebook 3500 last year but its performance is very slow. Startup takes a long time and further Google chrome does not work properly.

I tried various tutorials or videos for faster performance but nothing worked.

Any guidance.

Though Dell systems work fine but may be in your case as stated about system boot time is taking long comparatively. Also you have tried instructions from tutorials and videos. Plz try if not

1. Please check the OS updated as on date or not ? if not do this,

2. minimize or transfer the unused data or files stored on desktop, downloads, my docs to another drive or storage device.

3. Check for system startup apps from task manager and disable if any is not required.

4. If hdd is installed , go for disk cleanup option.

5. Remove the files in Recycle bin, temp folders, browsers history, cookies etc, system restore points if more than 1 or old.

6. CLI - wsreset (for windows 10 or 11 only), type - %temp% , prefetch (1 by 1) on run command and empty files

7. type cmd on run command with administrator priviledge - enter command - ipconfig/flush dns

8. Check for any unnecessary software, antivirus if still required a license key either uninstall or purchase the license key.

9. As regards system hardware, Upgrade RAM size, if dual slots are there (check in task manager or cmd with wmic) & switch to SSD (if hdd is installed)

If still problem persists then go for a fresh installation.
