How can I display what the camera sees, and not a mirror image?
I have a new Dell Vostro 7590. When I use the webcam, I don't see the image as the camera sees it; I see a mirror image instead. Apparently, this is a feature, not a bug. Nevertheless, I want to see the camera image, not the mirror image. How can I do that?
I searched for answers, and I've seen the recommendation that I use "Dell Webcam Central". I don't have Dell Webcam Central, nor any obvious equivalent.

If you can't find it in settings, then sorry you won't be able to change the image. In the camera settings find anything that says , "Mirror Image"

@T.C. The reason this is a feature and not a bug is that when people have a webcam on their laptop pointed at them and they see the image on their display, psychologically they associate that with the experience of looking into a mirror, and therefore they expect that if they tilt their head, their head onscreen will "follow" their physical head, as occurs when looking into a mirror. But as you say, that is technically the opposite of what the camera is actually seeing. Same goes for raising your right hand, which in a mirror (and therefore in this default onscreen setup) causes the apparent LEFT hand of the onscreen image to be raised.
Note that with most if not all videoconferencing apps, only the local user sees this "mirror" experience. If you're sharing video with others, everyone else will see the "normal" version, i.e. what the camera actually sees. So if you raise your left hand, they'll all see that you raised your actual left hand.
But if you really want to see the non-mirrored version locally, it shouldn't be too difficult to find an application that can display a webcam feed and also offers a "Flip Horizontal" option.
