Vostro 5481 - Graphics simulation in Linux crashing (critical temperature)
Hello !
I'm using Linux (doesn't matter what distro - I tryied ubuntu 16, 18, manjaro, deepin...) and I'm running a graphic simulation application for self-driving vehicles and it consumes about 1gb of memory video and it runs almost with 100% gpu clock and other resources (cpu, ram,...) and temperature it's around 80-90 ºC all the time ... The problem is: the GPU/CPU doesn't throttle, in order to reduce the temperature and after 1 or 2 minutres running the simulation, the laptop crashes for critical temperature (I checked the BIOS).
Ps: already used every possible combination of driver cads available in my range of knowledge (bumblebee, nvidia...)
When using Windows 10, I don't have that much trouble running games for hours...
Anyone have a comment or sugestion?
Thanks.
