Dell Command Update v3.1.2 software - configuration not applied/active

Hi,

In our organisation we're currently deploying the "Dell Command Update" tool to every freshly installed device using SCCM. We want the tool to look for and install updates 1x/month.

Basically, the installation runs the .exe to install the Dell Command Update tool, afterwards we configure the settings using the following commands:

dcu-cli.exe /configure -importSettings="C:\Temp\MySettings.xml"

dcu-cli.exe /configure -LockSettings=enable

This all returns error code = 0, so applied with success.

When opening the application for the first time, we still get this "First Run Experience" window which I can't seem to hide in the automation. Anyway, assuming that it would be an end user opening this tool for the first time, I chose the first option, because that's probaby the option most people will want to choose as it is "recommended".

Afterwards when I open the settings, it all seems to be configured just the way I want it to be: monthly check for updates, download and install but never reboot:

HOWEVER... It just starts looking for updates and installing them whenever it wants... Last week it did so 3 times in 7 days. Why won't it act as how it's specified in the settings, but just start doing things whenever it wants to? Anyone has encountered this issue aswell?

Kind regards,

Nicolai
