You need only look at the Drivers and Downloads page for it:

I recently clean installed Windows 10 on an Inspiron 5110r (the model with the Geforce 525m) after a hard drive failure and have had no issues with all the devices showing as functioning in device manager.

It refused to install when I was on BIOS 09 but moving to 11 sorted this out.

I suspect that the multiple variants of the same numbered model with different internal components may have something to do with variability on the success of installing Windows 10 on this laptop.

Bios upgrade worked, but Windows kept crashing. The problem was solved by renaming idtnc64.cpl to idtnc64.cpl.bak . More detail below.

So it seems to be something to do with IDT audio. Do you recommend uninstalling this or will that disable my sound.

Spot on!  Does that fix you up?  If not, renaming idtnc64.cpl to idtnc64.cpl.bak should fix you up. :)

First you should do a complete backup

Next reserve your copy with Windows. There should be a connection on your taskbar.

You should probably uninstall IDT Audio before you install Windows 10. If do don't, and you run into crashing Explorer.exe after you install W10, it is much harder to manage the computer to do so. You need to go to use ctrl alt del to call up the task manager, and in it run control.exe, then 'programs and features'.

This link shows you how to prepare for and acquire w10.

Hello,

Does anyone of you people still have a copy of A11 BIOS for N5110 on your computer's drives, memory sticks, anything?

It seems it is no longer available from Dell web site

So the thread says this issue is solved with N5110 Bios A11. It's not listed on the Dell Drivers and Downloads for my Inspiron N5110 in 2020. If you follow those old links, page not found.

What I do know is that Windows 10 installed without a complaint a month ago. I reinstalled because of some other issues with old partitions needing merged, and today I get the message that "This PC Can't Run Windows 10". Thanks, Microsoft.

So Microsoft won't let me download an old ISO of Windows 7, they refer me to Dell. Dell no longer offers any download of Windows 7, saying I need to upgrade to Window 10. Windows 10 days my PC can't run it.

What is Dell's official policy here? Am I supposed to become a "buccaneer" and find a dicey version of Windows 7 that way? That seems to be the only option Dell is offering, and it's a bad option.

I also have a Dell 2-in-1 Inspiron, buying a newer Dell is not the issue here. How do I keep my Dell Inspiron N5110 running legally? No one has a legal copy of Windows 7 for sale!
