Dell System Detect is not compatible with Windows 10. Windows 10 is more secure than previous versions of windows and might see it as an intrusion and a safety risk. System detect is not required to access the resources on the support site. Use your service tag on the Dell Support site instead. Of course do not post the tag in this public forum.
I got the exact same error as above. Is there anyway of uninstalling DSD from programs. So far I haven't been able to and when you go to Dell's website and want to run a PC Diagnostic for driver info it wants to install DSD before doing its check. It downloads it but can't launch. Dellcare has been useless. They keep giving me the standard answers such as disabling your security etc.and trying the downloads. If it's not compatible with Windows 10 then fine but at least they could acknowledge it.
Hi. Could you please help. I am going crazy as my Dell Inspiron 15 DVD drive wont work ( Windows 10 of course). Trying to install the Dell Syst Detect, but not installing...been trying to delete this Apps\2.0 folder you mention, but it doesnt allow me to delete. Please help...unless you have other advice for getting DVD drive to work!
