No bootable device found Inspiron 5482 2-in-1

I updated my system with some updates. It's been working fine until now. Today when I tried to start, it would run diagnostics and say no problem detected. After diagnostics, it says "No bootable devices found". The only option in the screen is Shutdown. I changed the bootable option to UEFI. but still not working...… help me guys I am worried I have lot of data and some sensitive data also there.

Hi did you get any sort of answer? We had 2 Dell laptops die with the same problem you described after the Windows update. Dell said they were sending someone today but noone came.

Changing boot and other software changes do not fix physically bad drives.

Time to get 7MM slim 2.5 INCH hard drive and replace.

There is a reason why drives come with 90 day to 1 year warranty with 5 years being max.

Drives in this model are at least 2 to 3 years old now.
