Recover system with Dell image partition on USB?

Question

So, I messed up. I wanted to dual-boot my system but managed to delete all partition on the SSD. I did, however, copy the partition named 'Image' to a USB before this happened. Is it possible to recover Windows 10 from this image? The image contains a bunch of *.wim images which I recognize as mapping to the lost partitions on the SSD, such as: DELLSUPPORT.wim (There was a partition named something like this) DellEFI.wim (Is this the boot image for the restored system?) oem.wim (my guess is this would be the OS image, though its really small 174kb) winre.wim (I believe this refers to the Windows Recovery Environment) installX.swm (X = '', 2, 3, 4) (these are about 2-3.5 GB each so I'm guessing this is where the data for the OS is actually at) There is also a diskpart.txt file which outlines how the partition looks. If I'm not mistaking it should be possible to run diskpart with this *.txt file as a parameter to restore the partition setup. But how do I then apply the images to the partitions? And is it possible to boot with this USB and apply all this automatically? If it is possible, perhaps someone would be kind enough to outline the steps either how to boot onto the USB or into some other environment from where the images could be applied? My system is a Dell XPS 15 9560.

What you will need

Service Tag of the Dell PC on which you want to install Microsoft Windows or Linux
Download and install Dell OS Recovery Tool (runs in Microsoft Windows only)
Blank USB flash drive 16GB or 32GB
Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5.2 or higher
Administrator user rights and at least 16GB of available storage space to download the Dell ISO recovery image. (All data on the drive will be erased)

Download Microsoft's Media Creator on another PC. Create bootable USB. Install Windows 10 from that USB. Lots of tutorial on this. Windows 10 product key is embedded on motherboard.

Since the recovery media MUST BE Usb 2.0 and there are other issues I now recommend specific DVD and USB2 optical drive for any Windows 10 reinstalls.

This works offline for most all dell models and does not require access to the internet to install or download anything.

The solution below works on all Dell models that work with at least windows 7. So my GX620 from 2006 works as well as my brand new G7 7588 laptop.

You turn secure boot off and F12 boot from the DVD and install windows.
