S2722QC not recognised by Windows
My monitor S2722QC (produced and shipped in March 2022) is not recognized by Windows 10 Pro. The device manager just shows PnP-Standard Monitor rather then S2722QC. Going further into details I noticed that depending on the port used the monitor claims to be a DELA1D6 (HDMI1), DELA1D8 (HDMI2) or a DELA1E0 (USB-C). However, the latest driver (DELL_S2722QC-MONITOR_A00-00_DRVR_2RX0F.exe and S2722QC.inf) just tests for DELA1CE (HDMI1), DELA1CF (HDMI2) or DELA1D0 (USB-C), respectively. Consequently, the S2722QC is just a PnP-Standard (no name) Monitor for Windows. Does anybody else experienced such a behavior? Is there a solution to correct the issue? I want to have a correct system with the right color management, etc.

Same behaviour here and same Hardware IDs as you report. You can manually install the driver by extracting the .exe with 7zip and using "Let me pick ... " however it does not seem to stick very long, possibly the next time it is detected with plug and play?

UPDATE: I logged the issue with Dell support via online chat (by referring to this thread) and was told the issue would be escalated to Dell engineers so I will post back here if I get an update. In the meantime it could be possible to modify the .inf with the correct hardware IDs and self-sign but probably not worth the effort IMO since I am not sure it would be doing anything other than using a standard sRGB profile anyway?

You must be turned off 'Smart HDR' to auto identify.

Connect another display OR two of the Monitor inputs eg, the USBC and the HDMI.
Right click on desktop and Open "Dell Display Manager" (install it if you don't already have it)
It will display the summarized version, At the bottom click on "Open Dell Display Manager"
On the Basic Tab, right at the bottom mine showed a tick box that said something like "Enable display matrix control"
