Same problems I were having. I have Inspiron 3501, with 1tb HDD and 4gb ram, so when booted or signing in after sleep, never move mouse towards taskbar, wait for atleast 30 seconds, it freezes because of slow speed of pc. So wait for 30sec and then work. And if mistakenly happens and you want to restart, put the lid of laptop down, which will make pc sleep and open lid after 5 minutes, then lock screen with date and time will come, then press enter key then you will see Sign In or it will ask for password and pin, but don't put anything or press sign in, instead you go at bottom right corner, there you will see power options and select restart. It will restart automatically. And if you are using HDD, then upgrade to SSD.
