Windows 10 failure on Inspiron 5348
Hi everybody, I successfully upgraded my Inspiron 5348 to Windows 10 recently but after a few days it suddenly got screwed up, I assume after an update or something.
The taskbar no longer has any icons, the clock is missing, the Windows icon doesn't work at all.
I am lucky I can get to the internet to write this.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Should I go back to Windows 8.1?
Cheers, Paul

Your computer is listed on the approved list for the upgrade. Go to Dell Support, Drivers and Downloads to get the drivers you need for Win 10.You can use the link for Support at the top of this page. Dell did a good job with the driver updates for win 10 on the Drivers and Download page. Allow Dell to scan your computer to see what you need.

Windows 10 worked fine for several days but I assume it failed after an update yesterday morning. Are you saying that it something to do with drivers now after days of working OK?
I asked about drivers in a different post several days ago after upgrading to Windows 10. The Dell system detect failed completely, was stuck in a loop and was unable to detect what drivers were needed.
Anyway, I was able to look manually by informing it that I have already upgraded to Windows 10 and there were several drivers there for Windows 10, but then I was told on the forum that I don't need any drivers - that Windows 10 will provide anything I need automatically.
Are you saying some sort of drivers might fix the sudden problem with the taskbar not showing program icons or Windows icon etc?
Do you know why it would work for days then fail? Do you know exactly which drivers would correct the problem?
