Windows 10 no longer activated

My windows product key says it is no longer activated on my XPS15. This may have happened from when I updated my BIOS or when I did a system restore. I did some research and found that the windows product key is injected into the BIOS. How can get windows 10 activated again on my laptop? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

The Win 10 Digital activation is online.  Once that system has been activated, it should pick that up a short time after being online.

This has been an issue for a few weeks now and I have been online during that whole time.  The exact message is: "We can't activate Windows on this device right now.  You can try activating again later or go to the Store to buy genuine Windows. Error code: 0xC004F034"

I received this same error message after unpacking my XPS 13.   I'm not sure why the problem exists, but there was a message on the screen that told me to to Settings -> Activation.  It's at that point where I actually see the error message.   I then clicked on the Troubleshoot link and subsequently received a dialog box which read "We've activated this copy of Windows".   No issues at this point.

I was thrown off by the entire process because, after unpacking laptops in the past, I've never had to do anything specific to activate Windows.  For a moment, I was wondering if I needed to purchase a valid windows 10 license separately which seemed absurd, as I'd excepted that to be all part of the package, which of course it was in the end.

Go online and do all the windows updates and it eventually will activate.

If you stay offline for more than 180 days it will go out of activation.
