support for broadcom virtual wireless adapter for windows 10
Hi,
I have a Dell XPS8300 with a DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card. I noticed that it drops Ethernet connection. If I reboot the modem/router, it works for the day but when I power down and bootup the next day, the connection defaults to wireless. Dell swapped out the motherboard a few years ago, when the pc was still under warranty. They said it had a known issue where the integrated half cards had an issue. It worked fine since then but I read articles that this is happening to people who upgraded to Windows 10. I upgraded last year and this started about a month ago. Does anyone know if this issue is related to driver or if it is hardware? Thanks!

Dell doesn't list windows 10 drivers for your system. The DW 1501 Wireless card is for windows 7. Please click on the link below.

dw1501 wireless card is giving max 3mbps speed while a wired LAN is giving 50+mbps on XPS 8300 Windows 10.
If dw1501 driver is not supported for Win10, what is the supported driver? We need to move forward with the OS; cannot get stuck with Win7 forever. Dell should either provide an updated driver or suggest an upgrade model for the wireless card.
