I have the same problem.

Same here. In task manager it shows my 1125G4 has a base clock speed at 0.88GHz, even though 1125G4 is in the win11 support list. I tried to turn off some switches that maybe related to CPU speed in BIOS setting, like "intel speedstep technology". But the changes I made in BIOS just won't save.

have you found any solutions yet?

Not yet. Given the fact that Windows 11 is just released and nowhere near stable, so I am not in a hurry upgrading right now.

I've also posted this problem on Microsoft feedback hub and Microsoft community.

Install Windows 11 manually if you really want to try it right now. There are tons of articles about how to bypass the requirements.

Actually, I have already told DELL about these issues of the BIOS.

DELL is working on the BIOS update to fix the problems related to not being able to save some of the BIOS settings.

I will request you to wait for it.

According to my knowledge BIOS update to fix this will release around 9th Nov 2021.

BTW I am the owner of Inspiron 5510.

Also there is one question: "How comes your base speed to be 0.88 GHz whereas for same processor mine base speed is 1.2 GHz. Can you post the screenshot of the task manager for this. May be I can help in this regard."

Wow, very much appreciated! Not sure whether this BIOS fix will solve the problem or not, cause it's just one of my assumptions that Intel Speedstep Technology may correct the way Windows calculates the processor's frequency. But I'm sure this BIOS fix will be needed anyway, there are so many BIOS settings can't be saved in the latest version.

Here are the screenshots of my task manager and system property page. I assume the "883Mhz" in property page and the "0.88GHz" in task manager are the same thing. Interestingly, that said number is exactly the "Configurable TDP-down Frequency" of this processor (ignore the round-up). I found the specifications here from Intel. This page from Microsoft may also be helpful.

I think there is some issue with your system.

I actually checked your product specifications here and it shows the processor TDP to be 28W same as mine Inspiron 5510 with same i3-1125g4 processor.

So I think you try doing BIOS update and if that doesn't solve the issue contact DELL support.

Dell released latest BIOS update on Nov.3. With this version 2.4.0 BIOS, the CPU clock speed is recognized as 1.19GHz in Windows rather than 0.9GHz. It's OK to upgrade to Windows 11 now.

Here is the changelog

Fixes & Enhancements

- Fixed the issue where systems with Intel Core i3 processors are unable to update to Windows 11 operating system.
