XPS 15 9575 Windows 11 clarification
Hi all,
Just read with interest that the minimum requirement for Windows 11 is an 8th gen Intel CPU. My XPS 15 9575 has an 8th gen 8705G processor and according to Microsoft, my CPU is not compatible with Windows 11. Does Dell have an official statement on device compatibility with Windows 11? I notice a Dell support document stating that the 9575 is in the list for Windows 11 upgrade testing, yet Microsoft flat-out say the device does not meet the CPU requirement. Who is supplying the correct information?

Been running it for a week now, works like a charm. Fast, no quicker battery drain.

"why are Dell saying this system is compatible and yet Microsoft say it is not." Microsoft will say its not compatible if TPM is OFF and or Secure Boot is OFF.
Dell computers tested for upgrade to windows 11
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000187485/
The following list of Dell computers has been tested for upgrade to Windows 11. If your computer model is not listed, Dell is not testing the device, and drivers will not be updated for that model.
Xps 15 9575 2 in 1 drivers
F2 BIOS TPM PTT ON , Secure Boot ON
Backup your system or get a new blank drive and try the update.
I recommend a USB 2.0 FAT32 installer media.
SanDisk - Cruzer 32GB USB 2.0 SDCZ60-032G-A46
Sandisk 32gb usb2.0 flash drive
I recommend download of the WIN11 ISO
Backup your system OR get a new hard drive.
And Use Rufus 3.15P to make
32 gig FAT32 NTFS combo boot media.
Rufus-3.15p.exe
If it tastes bad you can swap out the old drive and no harm done.
WIN 11 RTM Links since WIN11 is official now.
PC Health Check APP click the link and test BEFORE Trying 11.

This is RTM not insider builds so it does not die OCT 25th 2021.
Installation Assistant (Upgrade now)from 10 to 11.
I do NOT recommend this option because it may lose ALL of your data crashing to the black screen of death with no recovery It auto BITLOCKER encrypts your drive rendering it useless if you do not have a backup and making recovery impossible when it crashes.

I'm actually online with their support team right now (Dell). I never had any issues with my 9575 until I "upgraded" to Windows 11. The lag is driving me insane

Win 11 at 4k on the 9575 is not a pleasant experience. The UI lag is crazy when switching desktops etc.
