XPS 8950 - Windows 11 not yet supported in drivers and downloads

Windows 11 installed on just delivered new XPS 8950. When I go to Support, Drivers and Downloads, Manually apply, Windows 11 does not show up as supported operating system. Only systems listed are Windows 10 and Windows 10S.

I contacted support. They said it will be a year before Windows 11 will show up under Drivers and Downloads!

Had a good interaction with technical support. The full testing and support for Windows 11 is still in progress. Should be ready in a few months. I can still get support with issues if I install updated Windows 11 drivers from manufacturers' sites (such as Intel). I am OK with this for now.

At this point all you can do is install drivers from the hardware manufacturer's site such as Intel, etc. Now Windows 11 is based on Windows 10 and in many instances the Windows 10 drivers will work.

Thanks for the response. I am aware that hardware sites have updated drivers. I was told by support that if I installed any of those and had any problems with machine, then Dell would not support me.

I am going to call back technical support. I see that Alienware Aurora R13 has support for Windows 11!alienware_Windows_11.png

Glad to hear the update as I found it strange that they would not support if using other drivers.
