I actually have Windows 8 installed and running.  The route I took, since purchasing my computer, was XP, Vista upgrade, Windows 7 upgrade, and Windows 8 upgrade last night.  YMMV.  Strange how Dell designs obsolescence into every part of their computers.  I'll search outside Dell for any solutions and hopefully find what I need.  Thank you for the reply.

You don't.  Especially if your system did not ship with windows 8.

If you install Vista SP1 then Vista SP2  The FULL INSTALL.  Don't try express.  Then you can upgrade to windows 8 Pro.

Unfortunately now its going to cost $200 instead of $40 because that price ends today.

WIN8 vs WIN7 also requires NX Bit which is called Execute Disable Bit in the Security Settings in the BIOS. IF your bios has no such selection you CANNOT EVER install windows 8.

See Windows Reinstallation Guide/Upgrading to Windows 8:

State your model of Dell so we can assit further.

There may be some drivers available from newer models and/or Intel/AMD/nVidea directly. Also Windows 8 will include alot of drivers for devices natively.
