Checking media [Fail]

Question

My inspiron 3521 cannot boot. This is what I get after the dell logo: Checking media [Fail] Checking media No Boot Device Found. Press any key to reboot the machine I tried to install Linux mint as a dual boot with windows and there was an option to over-right the ubuntu partition i had which I selected. The installation failed but I couldn't boot back into windows till now. I was able to enter bios and realized my hard disk was detected in its full size. I run the diagnostics and everything passed but I still cannot boot the system. Please, can someone help me solve this issue?

Thanks for your assistance. I couldn't boot into safe mode so I followed your instructions and added a boot option but the problem is still persistent. My bios is an insydeH2O setup utility and the version is A 12 if that will help.
