DigitalPersona Fingerprint Software for Windows 8
After upgrading to Windows 8, this software (I have the latest version 5.30) no longer works.
I can no longer use fingerprint to log on to Windows. It is not showing in the log on screen.
Tried updating via the software but this is the latest version they have.
Does anyone has any fix, patch or update to make it work?

after weeks and weeks of investigation, i could do what seemed impossible to achieve.....Get digital persona working on my E6420, thanks to the guy who uploaded it to 4shared...YOU RULE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The file ""Dell Personal 6.2.0.300 - GM2.zip" cannot be downloaded from ". Can someone reupload this file? I am a Dell Vostro V131 (with Windows 8 x64) user. Thanks a lot!!

to have it working on windows 8 64 bits you will have to install 2 files
1. runamux.net/.../DigitalPersonaFingerPrintSoftw.html
2. en.community.dell.com/.../19473435.aspx
select the second option DigitalPersona Personal Fingerprint 6.X
you should execute the files in the secuence i posted above and you will have a fingerprint reader software working

Thanks a lot KAOTIKME!
Problem was, that i have previously installed Digital Persona 5.2 from "smartsource.dell.com" and update to version 6.2.1 dont work (s3.amazonaws.com/.../setup.exe).
Now i have installed posted version: runamux.net/.../DigitalPersonaFingerPrintSoftw.html and update to version 6.2.1 works like a charm.
Great news for Vostro users who wants fingerprint logon!

The version of smartsource.dell.com has 2 setup.exe's, one for a 32 bit version, and one for a 64 bit version. I expected the setup.exe in the main directory would pick the right version, but this is the 32 bit version. You should use the 64 bit version on a 64 bit Windows, because the 32bit version can't be updated on a 64 bit Windows. Version 5.20 32 bit can be installed on a 64bit Windows, but you will get the error message of the missing Dell Personal software when trying to update.

Hi there! i've got win8pro on vostro v131, and I have download and installed DigitalPErsona Fingerprint Software ver 5.20.230a, and when i'm trying to install update from you table i've got a trouble "Dell Personal is not installed"
what to do?

To fix DP not working with IE11 (Windows 8.1), turn off Enhanced Protected mode:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> uncheck "Enable Enhanced Protected Mode" under the security section.

Hi, Could you please send me the link for Digital personal Finger software for 32 Bit. Recently bought the laptop latitude e 5530 with win 7.Laptop has come with recovery cd & web cam app. I have downloaded the drivers for finger print. I cant able to get the digital personal app. Since im trying to download from South sudan, dell server is not detecting my service tag.
Kindly help me
