Updates for XPS 730x? Reattach side panel?

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on updating the xps 730x on windows 8.1. I want to know what all I should update. I installed cpu z and under mainboard it lists 

manufacturer dell inc.    Model 0P270J  A00  chipset intel x58 rev 12,  

southbridge intel 82801jr (ICh10R) Rev. 00, LPCIO Fintek F71882F

 I tried the intel utility but it said none found. I am just trying to make sure everything is up to date right now i only have what windows 8.1 updated and from the dell website and newest nvidia drivers. I am on bios 1.0.6 Do i need to download this?

Also the left side of my case fell off that is not supposed to open and I was wondering what is the best way to reattach it?
