Review the information posted here by Microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831128

You will also need to contact Microsoft for a "Hotfix".

alexsmom,

If you can boot to any mode of Windows (Last Known Good Configuration or Safe Mode) replace that file using system file checker (Start|Run, enter sfc /scannow and click OK. (There is a space after sfc.)

If you cannot boot to Windows boot to Recovery Console (see this) and at the command prompt enter the following, substituting the letter of your CD-ROM drive for X:

expand x:\i386\mrxsmb.sy_ c:\windows\system32\mrxsmb.sys

and click . (There is a space after sy_ and before c:\.)

The Microsoft KnowledgeBase document linked to in the post above this applies to Windows 2000 and Server 2003, not XP.

As soon as you turn on your machine..repeatedly press F8 (about 5-6 times). Advanced Option Menu appears.. Choose Last Known good configuration....

If that doesnt work. Choose 'Safe Mode' from the Advanced Option Menu.. If yer able to boot to safe mode. attempt an system restore. If you can't get into safe mode..continue reading..

boot from the Reinstallation CD and attempt a Windows Repair. If you can't repair, you may have to preform a format/reinstall (or parallel install for backing up..followed by format/reinstall).

Goodluck

This has nothing to do with windows server... the 0x00000050 is memory, so make sure you check your memory sticks to make sure they are working fine! Dont think its software its plain memories! If you try the safe mod eyou are gonna get this blue screen 0x0000000A

You will see let me know if it was like that!
