Acer Scanner

I currently have a new Dell laptop with Windows XP.  I have a desktop that is a Windows 98SE.  I would like to know if I could download the Acer 620U flatbed scanner on my new laptop.  The CD just says windows on it.  IT has with it also Ulead Photo Express, version 2.0, that says for Windows 98.  Have tried the Acer web site, but can't get the page to come up.  If anyone can give me any info, sure would appreciate it.

I am not sure whether the drivers you have on your CD would work in XP, but XP may have native drivers for it, according to the comment on a driver download site:

You could try just connecting the scanner to the PC and restart, see if XP recognises it and installs a driver (and that the scanner works).

I also found this, if you are connecting via USB port:

Here is another link to a driver that claims to be for XP
