Add Printer Problems

Question

Didn't know exactly where to add this, so if I am in the wrong place, please direct me to where I should post.   I have the Dell XPS420 with a Photo AIO 926 printer, and Windows Vista Ultimate, and I just recently started having printer problems. I was fine until now for some reason, and then my computer forgot I had a printer, deleted it from the 'Printers' list, and won't let me add a printer or click 'Server Properties', giving me an error message saying:   'Windows can't open Add Printer . Operation could not be completed (error 0x000000a4).'   So, if anybody can point me in the right direction as to where I should ask or where to look up what this error is exactly, or even help me fix the problem, I would greatly appreciate it. Try this

Start > Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Double-click Services > Right-click Print Spooler > Properties > General tab > Startup type > Automatic (not Automatic (Delayed Start-up) > Hit Apply then Ok > Right click again and choose Start
