Adding to Quick Launch Bar

Hi there
I'm new to Dell and Windows XP.
Can anyone tell me how to add links to the Quick Launch Bar next to the Start button?  I've managed to add Internet and Desktop (although I'm not quite sure how....) but I would also like Outlook and Word added as I use these the most.
Many thanks

There are a few ways to do it.  Here`s one

1 Right click a blank area in Taskbar and remove the tick from "Lock Taskbar"  (this unlocks it)

You will then see a dotted vertical line at the end of the items already in your Quick Launch.

2 Go to Start/All Programs and find "Word".  Right click it and from the menu hover over "Send To" and click "Desktop Send Shortcut"

3 Find this shortcut icon on your desktop. right click and hold down mouse.  Drag the icon into the Quick Launch inside the dotted line.  Release mouse and choose "Move Here"

4 Then go back and lock Taskbar. (as in #1, but put the check back)

Repeat for all shortcuts you mant in Quick Launch.
